Hey everyone, I was digging into the Janet Landry Brice case that's been haunting Baton Rouge since '82, and something struck me about her car — the Ford Galaxy 500 found near Belaire High School with the keys still in it. It got me wondering about the timeline between when she went missing and when the car was discovered. I've read that various people in the neighborhood used the car after it was abandoned. Does anyone know if there’s more information on who these people were or how long the car sat there before authorities found it? Also, I'm curious about the location itself — was it a high-traffic area, or sort of secluded? This might give us more insight into how long it could've gone unnoticed and any potential witness sightings. If anyone has more local knowledge or context about Belaire back then, it could be really helpful to piece this part of the puzzle together. Stay safe!

It's always bothered me how Janet's car ended up near Belaire High School. I mean, it’s obvious people were using it—like, who would just leave keys in the car unless they wanted people to take it? Feels like whoever left it there wanted it to be obvious or just didn't care at all. Given the time that’s passed, I wonder if any of those neighborhood folks have any recollections or saw something that could be useful. If they were just kids messing around with the car, maybe they’re adults now with any memories that could offer new leads? Small details can make all the difference in cases like this. Anyone from that area back then have thoughts or heard stories?
