Has anyone else noticed how strange it is that the car George was driving vanished without a trace? It was a 1985 Ford Escort, which isn't exactly a subtle vehicle. You'd think someone would've spotted it or remembered seeing it parked somewhere. Was it possible someone intentionally hid or dismantled it, and if so, where? Even years later, similar models might occasionally be seen in junkyards or even on the roads. Maybe it's a long shot, but I wonder if running a VIN check on any Escorts from that era could still lead to a clue. Just seems odd that there's no trace at all of something as significant as a car in addition to him. Thoughts?
I've been following the George Robert Miles case and something that's been on my mind is the missing 1985 Ford Escort. We know it was owned by the dealership where he worked, but how common were those cars around Pocomoke City back then? Could it really just disappear without a trace, or does that suggest it might have been dismantled or taken out of state? It's strange that neither the vehicle nor George was ever found. It's been so many years—has there been any effort to re-check records or interview mechanics who might’ve worked nearby at that time? Could they have been tipped off about any out-of-the-ordinary requests, like repainting or altering the car in those days?
