Has anyone else looked into the security footage situation from the area around 800 block of S. 13th Street on the night of Jamil Taylor's murder? It’s 2014, so I imagine some businesses or residents might have had cameras. I find it hard to believe that there’s not a single piece of video that could shed some light on what happened or at least who might have been around at that time.
A friend of mine who lived near that area back then mentioned that it was usually pretty busy in the evenings. It’s so frustrating to think that with so many people around, no one could identify anything significant about that tragic night. Anyone know if the police have spoken about reviewing any footage or if there were posters or flyers asking for info that might trigger someone's memory?
My heart goes out to Jamil’s family and friends. I can’t imagine the pain and frustration they must be going through. It's tough knowing that there's still no resolution after so many years.
I can't stop thinking about how Jamil Taylor's case has gone unsolved for so long. It's really concerning that no one has been held accountable for such a violent act. I can't imagine the pain his family and friends must be feeling, knowing that the person responsible is still out there. It's been over 9 years, and still no answers. It's frustrating to know that justice has not been served yet.
I wonder if there's anything more that we as a community could do to support his family and push for progress in the investigation. The police have asked for tips, but it feels like there might be people in the community who have critical information but are hesitant to come forward for some reason. I hope anyone reading this who might know something considers reaching out, even anonymously, to help bring a resolution to Jamil’s loved ones.
How are others feeling about these unsolved cases in Philadelphia? It feels like there are so many cries for help, and it would be great to hear if there are any local initiatives or efforts that are working to prevent future tragedies like this one.
Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about Jamil Taylor's case, and something that really struck me is the lack of witnesses, or at least anyone willing to come forward. I used to live near that area, and it was always buzzing with activity. It's hard to believe that no one saw anything that could help piece this tragic puzzle together.
I can only imagine how tough this has been for Jamil's family. It must be incredibly frustrating not to have answers or any sense of justice. It's a painful reminder that we need stronger community bonds and trust in law enforcement to break these cycles of silence.
If you were around South 13th Street that night and noticed anything—even the smallest detail—it could be vital. Let’s keep this conversation going so we can keep Jamil’s memory alive and honor him by seeking the truth.
Hoping for peace for Jamil's loved ones and a resolution to this case.
