I've always found the circumstances around Richard Eugene Dale Hitchcock's disappearance quite puzzling. I mean, I can't stop thinking about the incident at the Riverfront Lounge and what triggered him to climb over a barbed-wire fence in the early hours of the morning. It’s the whole parkour-like escape that gets me—was he really that scared or was he trying to prove something?
It just seems off that his car was left in a nearby parking lot for days with Christmas presents still inside. When you consider leaving gifts that you probably spent time and money picking out, it almost feels like he planned on coming back that night. I can't help but wonder if someone else moved the car after whatever happened. Why was there a delay in reporting him missing? Those six days could have been crucial in piecing together what really happened.
Has anyone heard any theories about why his friends or those last seen with him might not want to come forward? It seems strange, right? It feels like there’s a missing piece of the puzzle that’s holding this case back from being solved. Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
