I’ve been thinking a lot about Saleem Jones and the utterly baffling nature of his case. It just doesn’t make any sense to me why this case remains unsolved after all these years. Saleem had his whole life ahead of him, and it’s deeply troubling that his killer is still out there. I really hope that justice is served for his family’s sake.
Has anyone looked into whether there was any surveillance footage from nearby businesses or homes on North Orianna Street at the time of the shooting? Given it was around 9:25 p.m., there might have been some cameras that caught something useful. In a city like Philly, you'd think there might be some kind of footage. Maybe someone saw or heard something they didn't initially think was important?
If there are locals on this forum, do you think there’s a chance that people in the neighborhood might have seen something or heard anything that night and might have been too afraid to come forward? Sometimes people don’t realize how crucial their information might be.
Keeping Saleem’s memory alive and ensuring justice is served would not only help his family heal but also bring some measure of safety back to the community. Anyone with even the tiniest piece of information should really consider reaching out to the authorities.
I've been following the case of Saleem Jones, and something that has been on my mind is the neighborhood where it all happened. I've read that the 4500 block of North Orianna Street hasn't always been the safest area, but to think of such violence striking there like this is truly upsetting. It's unsettling to consider what it must be like for the residents living nearby, knowing that someone got away with such a heinous act. I really feel for Saleem's family and neighbors as they probably look over their shoulders every day, wondering if the person who did this is still walking amongst them. I hope that speaking up doesn't feel too dangerous for any witnesses or people who might know something, and I truly hope someone comes forward. They deserve closure and the peace of mind that whoever committed this is no longer a threat. Keeping my fingers crossed for some movement in this case soon.
