I was reading about Luis Alicea, known to some as Martin, and couldn’t stop thinking about the role community plays in cases like this. It’s incredibly inspiring, yet so tragic, how his family has rallied to keep his memory alive while advocating for justice. Organizing memorials and engaging in the community must take an enormous amount of strength, especially with the burden of an unsolved case. It makes me wonder about the impact of these community actions on the investigation itself. Do these efforts help keep the pressure on authorities, or is it more about finding personal peace and ensuring Luis is remembered beyond just the crime?
