I've been thinking a lot about the vehicle that the suspect used in Shirley Wallace's case. It's been described as an older model pickup truck with out-of-state plates. I wonder if anyone has revisited the possibility that the truck might still be somewhere in the area, albeit under a different owner or with changed plates. It's a long shot, but someone might have purchased it second-hand without knowing its history. Perhaps focusing on tracking down vehicles sold around that time could yield new clues. It's devastating for Shirley's family to still be seeking closure all these years later. If anything can be done to bring some answers, it's worth a try. Anyone in Eugene from that era remember seeing a suspicious truck hanging around back then?
