Has anyone else looked into the weather conditions off the coast of Kailua-Kona on December 2, 2009? I came across some old reports suggesting there might have been unexpected gusts in the afternoon. I'm wondering if this could have played a role in Samuel Bower going missing. Maybe he encountered rough waters that made it difficult to control the boat? It's odd that the boat was still running in circles when found. What if the weather suddenly changed, and he had to act quickly but was somehow thrown overboard? Just thinking out loud here.
