It's strange how there's never been a single trace of Alfred James Grimes or Sammy Jackson since they vanished. I mean, kids don't just disappear without leaving some sort of clue, right? The bus driver who saw them last seemed so sure about the time and place, which puts them close to the water. Yet, no witnesses came forward from the wharf, no sightings, nothing. It's like they vanished into thin air. What's really puzzling is the absence of any personal belongings. Alfred didn't pack extra clothes or money, which you’d expect if they were planning to run away. Plus, there weren't any reports of them having troubles at home or school. I wonder if something happened between the bus drop-off and the wharf that nobody’s put together yet. It almost seems like they met someone along the way who changed that morning's plans entirely. Does anyone else think there's more to this than an accident?
