I'm really struck by the details surrounding the disappearance of Sammy Lloyd Jackson and Alfred Grimes back in 1968. Something that's been on my mind is the fact that both boys were familiar with the area, especially Fisherman’s Wharf, as fishing there was a regular past-time for them. This makes me question the possibility of them getting lost or accidentally falling into the water. Could it be possible that someone they knew and trusted was involved? Given the time they vanished was early in the morning, it seems less likely a stranger could have easily approached them without raising suspicion. Also, considering the communal environment during the late 60s, it seems they would have likely been seen or heard if there had been any sort of commotion. I wonder if the authorities have revisited any potential suspects over the years, especially those who were part of the boys' familiar circles, or if they have treated this as purely an accident. It’s a long shot, but maybe going back through the old witness accounts or looking into locals from that time might shed some light or bring new perspectives. Curious to know everyone else’s thoughts.
