I’ve been doing some research on Margaret Ellen Fox’s disappearance and stumbled upon something curious about the ransom call. It was recorded and released by the FBI in 2019, but from what I gathered, it sounds like it was made by someone who knew enough about her family to make the call seem credible. The fact that it traced back to a pay phone is so intriguing. It makes me wonder if "John Marshall" and the caller are the same person or if they had people working together. Could this have been someone local, familiar with the area and aware of the ads Margaret had placed? I might be reading too much into it, but thinking about how this person knew to use a pay phone and then vanished without a trace is baffling. I hope someone out there will recognize the voice and bring the much-needed break in this case. Anyone else have thoughts on this aspect?
