Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about something I came across in the Myrtle Childs case, and it's been on my mind ever since. Specifically, the items that were taken from her trunk. Does anyone know what was in the trunk or why it might have been targeted by the killer? It just makes me wonder if there was something specific that the person was after which could provide clues about their identity or motive.
It's incredibly tragic that Myrtle, who seemed like such a sweet soul adored by her community, had to meet such a violent end. I keep hoping that someone who knows something will eventually come forward. It's so sad to think about how her family and friends must feel, going so many years without answers.
If any local sleuths or folks familiar with the case have insights about the contents of that trunk or other theories, I'd be really interested in hearing them. Maybe there’s something we’re missing that could finally bring justice for Myrtle and her loved ones.

I’ve been following the Myrtle Childs case for a while now, and something that’s always stood out to me is how well-loved she was in her community. It's so unsettling to think that someone could just invade her home like that and end her life so brutally. Does anyone else find it odd that certain items were taken from that trunk, yet nothing else seemed disturbed at first? It feels like whoever did this had some prior knowledge about what they were looking for. Was it really just a random invasion, or could it have been more targeted than we think? My heart goes out to the family left with so many questions and the community still feeling her absence. If anyone knows anything, it's never too late to bring justice for Myrtle.
I’ve been following Myrtle Childs’ case for a while, and I can't help but wonder about the possibilities surrounding the timeline of events. If she was discovered only six hours after her death, it seems like there was such a narrow window for the perpetrator to have entered, committed the crime, and left without being seen.
The fact that someone kicked in the door suggests that it wasn’t a stealthy break-in, which makes me think there’s a chance someone might have witnessed something, even if they didn’t realize its significance at the time. Could it be possible that someone saw or heard a commotion but didn’t think much of it until they heard about Myrtle’s tragic end?
I really hope that anyone who lived in the area at the time will come forward, even if they think what they saw wasn’t relevant. Every tiny detail could help bring some closure to her family and friends. It’s so important for communities to rally together in instances like these, to ensure that beloved figures like Myrtle aren’t forgotten and their cases receive the attention they deserve.
