I came across the Daniel Fogg case recently, and something that's been puzzling me is the reported sightings of him the day after he disappeared. Given that Daniel had the mental capacity of a young child, I'm curious how reliable those sightings were. It's quite possible that people in Austin might have mistaken someone else for him. Or, could it be that he did actually make it to the city and someone saw him? I wonder if there were any more details shared by those witnesses back in 1980? Could he have tried reaching out to someone for help and been overlooked? In such cases, time muddles memories, and I hope that if anyone remembers anything, even something that might seem trivial, they'd come forward. Any thoughts on how credible these sightings may have been?
Does anyone else find it odd that Daniel Fogg mentioned he was going to get a pizza and water, but nobody reported seeing or hearing anything about him at local pizza places? I know it's been over 40 years now, but I'm curious if anyone ever looked into local pizzerias or similar spots around the time he disappeared. Could he have planned to meet someone there? Seems like a small detail, but given his friendly nature, it's possible he might’ve been lured or met someone who intended to harm him. Has anyone read reports or news articles that discussed this angle?
