Has anyone looked into the truck they were unloading that day? It seems like there are some details missing—like whose truck it was and what exactly they were unloading. Sometimes, clues are hiding in the everyday things. Could the truck have belonged to someone with a criminal background or maybe someone they both trusted? Or maybe something happened during or after the unloading that caused them to panic or flee? It's frustrating to think about how much time has gone by without answers, but this detail keeps standing out to me. Anyone else have thoughts on potential leads tied to that truck?
Just stumbled across this case again—Gregory R. Mitchell and David Rees from Winter Haven. It's been bugging me for a while now—has anyone ever looked into any local connections they might have had in North Florida? I read somewhere that’s where they might have headed, but I haven't been able to find anything solid. Could it have been someone they both knew, maybe from school or a part-time job? The timing seems odd to me—the reports were filed quite a bit after they went missing. I'm curious about what kind of work they were going to do when they left to unload that truck. Anyone know if it was a regular gig for them, or just a one-time thing? It seems like there might be more to that detail. Anything new would be greatly appreciated; it's been too long without any answers.
I'm really puzzled about why it took so long for Gregory and David to be reported missing. I understand that it was the early '80s, and things may have been different back then, but a whole month until Gregory's mom reported him missing? Then another 11 days for David? This feels like such a long time, and I can't help but wonder if it affected the investigation negatively. Maybe they thought the boys had just gone somewhere and would return on their own? It's just odd, and the delay might have made it harder to gather evidence or find witnesses who might've seen something. What do you all think could have caused the delay? Could there have been other circumstances we aren't aware of?
