Gregory Robert Mitchell, a 16-year-old from Winter Haven, Florida, went missing on November 16, 1981. He was last seen with his friend, David Rees, as they left to unload a truck. Neither Gregory nor David has been seen since that day. Gregory's mother reported him missing a month later, on December 15, and David's stepfather reported his disappearance on December 26.
Gregory was last seen wearing a dark blue or black jacket, a gray and black t-shirt, jeans, and orange and white sneakers. He had a scar on his shin from a bicycle accident, and his hair was shoulder-length at the time. Foul play is suspected in their disappearances, and it is believed they might have traveled to North Florida, though no substantial evidence has surfaced.
