At the time of his disappearance, he was described as being 5'4" tall and weighing between 120 and 130 pounds, with black, short, wavy hair and brown eyes. He was clean-shaven but had recent scars on his abdomen. The clothing he was last seen wearing consisted of a blue plaid shirt, black jeans, and a brown jacket or coat.
Santiesteban was in Homestead for an evaluation when he was last seen. It is believed that he walked away from the facility where the evaluation was taking place. The Homestead Police Department is the investigating agency in his case. Despite the passage of time, his case remains unresolved, and he would be 87 years old today.
