Has anyone else found it odd that the surveillance footage from the New York Public Library only surfaced after Derek and his mom disappeared? I wonder if there’s more footage out there that hasn’t been released yet. If Derek is indeed avoiding a foster care change, it makes sense that his mom and aunt are helping him stay under the radar. But why choose such a public place like the library? Maybe they knew it would be less suspicious if they were seen in a crowded area where people might not notice them. Still, it feels like there are gaps we aren’t seeing in this story. Also, the fact that both his mom and Nicole were with him suggests it was planned. What are everyone else’s thoughts on why they chose the library?

Has anyone else been following the Derek Estrella case? I find it intriguing that the last place he was seen was the New York Public Library with his mom and aunt. Libraries have always been a good cover for those needing to lie low—quiet, public, and full of resources. Plus, if they're in NYC, there are countless places to blend in.
