Derek Estrella, a 16-year-old from Nutley, New Jersey, was last seen on October 27, 2023. After leaving Nutley High School during lunch, Derek did not return and has been missing since. Surveillance footage later showed him at the New York Public Library in Manhattan with his mother, Michelle Durkin, and her sister, Nicole Durkin. Authorities believe Derek may be intentionally avoiding a foster care change with the assistance of these family members.
