Has anyone else looked into the timeline of when Mindi was reported missing? It seems really odd to me that no one reported her missing until 1995. That’s a massive gap and kind of blows my mind. Her stepsisters came home to find the door open, and in any normal situation, that would raise some alarms. It just makes me wonder if folks around her were too willing to jump to conclusions about runaway teens rather than pushing for a real investigation. Plus, with all the issues surrounding her dad, you'd think CPS would have been on high alert. It’s really baffling. Anyone have any thoughts on why it took so long for a missing persons report to be filed?
I've always found the dynamic between Mindi and her father, Allen, to be quite disturbing. It seems like she had a really tough upbringing, especially considering that CPS placed her with her stepmother due to accusations against Allen. The fact that she reported him for molestation just three days before she vanished is chilling. It makes me wonder about the pressure she must have been under both at home and with the authorities. Did anyone else find it odd that no one reported her missing until 1995? That's a long time to simply assume she'd run away. I can’t help but think Allen's green and tan station wagon is a glaring connection, yet there seems to be so many loose ends in this case. Anyone have any thoughts on why it took so long for the family or authorities to take action?
