I recently stumbled upon Jessie's case and was struck by the reports about her epilepsy. I wonder how much of a role that played in her disappearance. Given her lack of hiking experience and the challenging conditions of the 100-Mile Wilderness, it makes me wonder if she could've experienced a seizure while out on the trail. This could be especially dangerous if she was alone and far from help. Does anyone know if there were reports of her having seizures leading up to or during her preparation for the hike? Or if any search parties considered this in their strategies? With the vast area to search and her medical condition, it seems like such a critical angle to explore further. Would love to hear thoughts or additional details from those more familiar with the case.
