Has anyone else wondered about Christopher's dog? It’s like a mystery within a mystery. I mean, dogs usually have such a strong bond with their owners, right? If Christopher was in trouble or wandered too far, wouldn’t the dog stay with him or at least show signs of distress when it returned? It’s odd that the dog came back alone without indicating anything strange had happened. Did anyone ever think to follow the dog's path to see if it could lead them to something? It's been stuck in my mind as a possible clue that could be important. Thoughts?
Has anyone else dug into the details about the boy found in Eagle County six weeks after Christopher’s disappearance? It’s so bizarre to think how close they initially thought it was him, and yet, it was another kid entirely. It makes you wonder if there was some kind of pattern, or if there were other similar cases around that time that haven’t been connected. Could it have been just bad luck they were found so close in time, or is there something bigger that was missed? I can't help but think there might be other angles or connections that weren't fully explored. Curious if anyone else has thoughts on this or if they've unearthed any similar cases from the area back then.
I was reading about Christopher James Harvey's case and something about the timing of the search really bothers me. I mean, why did it take until the next afternoon to start an official search? I get that this was the '80s and things were different back then, but with a 14-year-old missing, especially one familiar with hiking, you'd think things would have moved quicker. I've also read that search efforts in dense forests can face all sorts of logistical issues, but I wonder if a faster response could have prevented any potential cover-up if there was foul play. Maybe more clues would've been discovered early on. Does anyone know if this delay in searches was typical back then, or if there's something else to this story?
