Has anyone else been following the case of Melissa Dake and the others who were tragically killed back in 2013? I was just reading through some of the details again, and it’s wild to think about how a case this serious still hasn't been solved. I keep thinking about the surviving witness—how difficult must it be to carry the burden of those memories, especially while grappling with addiction? It's hard to imagine the kind of strength it would take to move forward. It’s clear the victims knew the attacker, but without any clear motive or suspect, it must be incredibly frustrating for the families waiting for answers. I really hope there’s someone out there with the missing piece of the puzzle who will come forward. If you're in the Tulsa area and remember anything from that time, please consider speaking up. The victims and their families deserve justice.
Does anyone else find it odd that the children in the house were left completely unharmed? It's a small comfort, of course, considering the horrific loss of Melissa, Charlie, Glenda, and Tammy, but it also seems to suggest something about the shooter's motives or intentions. Maybe they had some sort of line they wouldn't cross, or perhaps the kids were known to them in some way? I've read that sometimes personal connections or a twisted sense of morality can play a role in these cases. My heart truly goes out to everyone touched by this tragedy—especially those little ones who had to witness such trauma. I really hope someone comes forward with new information soon.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the children who were present during the tragic events of November 23, 2013, at North New Haven Avenue. It must have been incredibly traumatic for them to experience something so horrifying at such a young age. My heart goes out to them as they grow up having to carry the burden of those memories. I hope they are surrounded by love and support to help them rebuild their lives.
Even as this case remains unsolved, we can’t forget the lasting impact on these young lives. The incident not only took away their loved ones but also altered their world entirely. I truly hope someone with information will come forward, not just for the sake of justice for Melissa, Charlie, Glenda, and Tammy, but for these children who are left wondering why such senseless violence had to happen in their home.
If anyone here knows anything, or if you've heard something through the grapevine, please consider reaching out to Crime Stoppers or the Tulsa PD Cold Case Unit. Bringing even the smallest piece of information might be the key to solving this case and helping heal those affected.
