Did anyone else hear about the Trailways Bus Station witness who might have seen Rita Mae Hughes the day she vanished? I came across a mention somewhere that a woman fitting her description was seen talking to someone near the bus terminal's exit around the time she was supposed to catch her bus to Louisiana. The witness apparently couldn't recall much, but they did mention that Rita seemed really agitated and was gesturing a lot with her hands, like she was trying to make a point or explain something. It makes me wonder if she planned to leave town at all or if something happened right there that prevented her from doing so. It’s so strange that after all this time, there are still so few leads. If anyone has more info about this potential sighting or any details about what she might have been arguing about, please share! Maybe someone could piece together more of what happened that day.

Did anyone else read about Rita Mae Hughes' case and wonder about the Trailways Bus Station itself? I can’t help but be curious about the environment there back in 1986. Was it known for any sketchy activity, or was it generally a safe place then? A bustling station like that must have had a lot of people coming and going at all hours. Did the investigators ever interview anyone who might've worked there or been waiting for a bus around the time Rita was last seen? It seems odd that with it being such a public place, there aren’t more leads or witnesses mentioned. Maybe that’s one angle that could still have clues waiting to be uncovered.
