I was just diving back into Harrison Butler Sr.'s case and started thinking about the route he was supposedly taking that day. Sally Street sticks out to me because it's not exactly a main path. It makes me wonder why he was heading that way. Was it a route he took often, or was he trying to avoid being noticed? I get that it's a rural area, but the fact it was an acquaintance who last saw him makes it even more interesting. Could this person have more insight into why Harrison was heading toward Sumter? Anyone familiar with what that path looks like or if it leads anywhere significant around there? Feels like such a critical detail might have been overlooked.

Has anyone else looked into the weather conditions on the day Harrison Butler Sr. disappeared? June in Sumter County can get pretty hot and humid. I'm wondering if the weather that day played any role in his disappearance, especially considering his age and mental health history. If it was particularly hot, he might have been more prone to dehydration or disorientation if he was out walking for a long time. It's tragic that after all these years, we still have so little information to go on. Just a thought that might provide some context or lead to a new angle in the search efforts. Thoughts?

I was digging through some old case files and stumbled upon Harrison Butler Sr.'s disappearance. Has anyone looked into whether there was any construction or landscape development happening around Sally Street back in 1988? It's a rural area, but sometimes construction crews might have noticed something that seemed out of place, or there could be clues hidden in areas where land was altered. It’s been so many years, but sometimes these historical aspects can spark new angles or lead to overlooked witnesses. Would love to hear if anyone has thoughts or if someone local might remember such details from that time.
