I remember when this happened, and it still haunts me that Alex's family hasn't gotten the closure they desperately need. I read that several neighbors thought the gunshots were just fireworks. It's tragic how common that misconception can be, especially around the 4th of July. I can't imagine the pain his family must feel knowing people might've been nearby and yet unaware of what actually transpired. I'm hoping someone out there remembers something and finally decides to step up and share what they know with the police. Even a small detail could make a huge difference in breaking this case wide open. Thinking of Alex's loved ones and sending my thoughts to them. Let’s all keep the conversation going and support efforts to find justice for Alex.
I’ve been following Alex Benitez’s case since it happened, and one thing that keeps sticking out to me is the location of the robbery. Putnam Green Apartments doesn’t seem like it would be a prime area for a random act of violence. It makes me wonder if the attackers knew Alex or if they had some connection to that neighborhood. It's chilling to think that someone might have been watching him or even known his routine. I've read that similar crimes have occurred in areas where there is a lack of lighting or security. Can anyone familiar with that area share if there were any security cameras nearby, or if changes were made after the incident to prevent such tragedies from happening again? It’s so important we keep discussing these aspects to help his family find some form of closure.
