I've always found the area around the Santa Rosa Mountains to be both beautiful and eerie, and this case definitely adds to the mystery of that region. Something I've been pondering is the possibility that Travis's disappearance might have involved a lesser-known or rogue wild animal, other than the mountain lion theory. While mountain lions are more common, nature is unpredictable, and there could be other animals involved that might not have left typical traces. The detail about drag marks caught my attention because it's such an unusual clue. If not caused by an animal, is it possible those marks could have been left by the tools or equipment someone was using in the area? Perhaps something or someone that wasn't initially on the radar during the investigation? The case's proximity to such wild terrain makes me wonder about all the avenues they explored—or possibly overlooked—during the search. Curious to hear your thoughts on whether authorities considered other wildlife or environmental elements that might not have been so obvious.
