In the early evening of a crisp autumn day in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the life of George Henry Knight Jr., a 46-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short. On Saturday, October 7, 2023, at approximately 5:30 p.m., the sounds of gunfire shattered the weekend calm in a parking lot near the bustling intersection of Maplecrest and Stellhorn roads.
