Hi everyone, I've recently been diving into the cold cases from the Dayton area and came across Cecil Spicer’s case. It's been haunting me a bit, especially the thought of his family waiting for answers for over 50 years. I keep thinking about how advancements in forensic technology might finally bring something new to the table. Considering other cold cases that have been solved decades later, there's a glimmer of hope for the Spicer family. I read that DNA and genetic genealogy have cracked cases wide open recently. Does anyone know if there have been any recent pushes to apply these kinds of methodologies to Cecil's case? Or any similar efforts by the Ohio BCI or Dayton Police? It seems like such a stretch of time, but if it can bring peace to his loved ones, it’s worth asking. Also, sending some love to the Spicer family, as this kind of uncertainty must be incredibly hard to carry for so long❤️. Here's hoping for fresh leads or new information that could help.
