I find it puzzling that the car was found abandoned in Upper Onondaga Park. It seems like such a public area, so why would they leave it there of all places? Did the police ever specify if there were any signs of a struggle or any personal belongings left behind in the car? It makes me wonder if the car was intentionally left there as a diversion. Anyone from the Syracuse area familiar with the park and whether something like this would’ve stood out back in '91? I feel like knowing more about the area's foot traffic back then could give us some additional context.

I was just reading about the disappearance of Jesus Manuel Balbi and Xiomara Rodriguez, and something caught my eye about their car. It seems a little odd that their blue 1984 Oldsmobile was found abandoned in Upper Onondaga Park. Does anyone know more about that area in 1991? Was it known for being a place people would go to, or was it more of an isolated spot back then? It's strange that they left the car there, and I'm curious if that location might have any significance or if it was just a random spot. Maybe someone familiar with the local history or the geography of Syracuse around that time might have some insights.
