Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about Raymond Springer's case lately, especially how his murder happened in such a public place like Madden Park. It's so unsettling to imagine that there were likely folks around who might've seen or heard something that evening but have stayed silent all these years. I can’t help but wonder what it's like for his family to have no answers for so long.
It makes me think about the culture of the time in the 70s and the possible reasons people might not have wanted to come forward. Maybe they were scared of retaliation or didn’t trust the authorities? It’s a sad legacy we’ve been left with—so many cold cases that might be solvable with just a single brave phone call.
I really hope that renewed efforts and advances in technology can finally bring some peace to Jabo's family. Anyone with even the smallest bit of information needs to know that it could be the key to unlocking this mystery. If you're reading this and you were there or know someone who was, please reach out. Every little bit counts.
Sending thoughts of strength to those who knew him.

I recently came across the tragic story of Raymond "Jabo" Springer, and it just really hit me thinking about how, after all this time, his family is still waiting for answers. It must be so difficult to keep the hope alive year after year. I didn’t know him personally, but I can't help but feel for those who did.
What gets me about Raymond's case is the location. Madden Park isn't some hidden spot—it’s a public area where people would have been around. The fact that no one has provided solid information is baffling. I understand fear can keep people silent, but it's frustrating knowing that there might be someone out there who could hold the key to figuring this out.
The Dayton PD and the Ohio BCI have been working on this and other cold cases, but they can only do so much without community cooperation. Here's hoping that, with the renewed efforts and resources, someone will finally feel safe enough to step up. Maybe shining a bigger spotlight on Raymond's story will encourage others to share what they know—withholding that could mean denying a family closure they so desperately need. If anyone here knows anything, please, even if it's just a little detail, consider reaching out to the authorities.
Hello everyone,
I've been following the case of Raymond "Jabo" Springer's murder for a while and recently read about how the Dayton Police Department has revamped their cold case unit to address cases just like his. It's baffling to think that such a violent act could happen in a public space like Madden Park in daylight hours and yet, after all these years, we're still grasping for answers.
I've always wondered about the potential witnesses who might have been in the park that night. It’s perplexing how none came forward with details that could help. I've learned that fear often silences voices, especially in cases involving violence, but with the collective efforts of the community and law enforcement, I truly hope that someone finds the courage to share what they know.
We shouldn't let Jabo's case remain a haunting mystery, and hopefully, with the ongoing efforts of the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Crime Stoppers, some new leads will arise. My heart goes out to Jabo's loved ones who have been searching for justice for so many years now. Let's keep supporting these efforts and hold onto hope for some closure.
Take care, everyone.
