I’ve been thinking a lot about the Herrings’ daughter and how she had to endure such a horrific ordeal at such a young age. It breaks my heart to imagine what she went through that day - hearing those shots and being brave enough to find her way out to seek help. It's terrifying to think that she had to carry that memory throughout her life. I wonder what kind of support she received afterwards and how she's been coping over the years. It's a long shot after all this time, but I hope that by some miracle, someone steps forward with new information that helps solve this case. Every child deserves to grow up in a world where their parents’ killers face justice. My thoughts are with her and any family she may have built since.
