On February 3, 1973, Eddie Herring, a well-known nightclub singer, and his wife, Sharon, were brutally murdered in their home in Dayton, Ohio. The couple was killed by shotgun blasts, and despite a police investigation, the case remains unsolved to this day. Herring, who was 35 at the time of his death, was a talented singer who had been performing in Dayton clubs since he was a teenager.
