Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Lawrence Edward Wells III, and I keep getting stuck on the timing around when he left his parents' place that evening. It's such a narrow window between him preparing dinner and heading out to collect that debt. I've read that he wasn't planning to be gone long, which makes me wonder: was someone already waiting for him, or did something unexpected happen during that short trip? It's like he vanished into thin air! I also can't stop thinking about why his vehicle was found a whole week later in downtown Houston. That's a lot of time for someone or something to have happened. Just curious if anyone else thinks the location where the car was found could hold a clue. Does anyone local know if there's anything significant about Smith Street or the area around it?

Does anyone remember the last time Lawrence Edward Wells III’s car was reportedly seen before it was found abandoned? I was going through some old articles and it struck me how odd it was that his black Dodge Colt was just sitting there for a week on Smith Street. Did anyone ever verify if the car was seen being driven around before that timeframe? It's just hard to imagine it was there unnoticed in downtown Houston all that time. Also, his bright Hawaiian shirt would've been pretty distinctive if he was out and about. Anyone have thoughts on why the car was left there and not elsewhere?
