Robert Elmer Allison, known as Bobby, was 42 when he disappeared after getting off a towboat on the Ohio River on December 21, 1994. He worked for Tri-River Fleeting in Bethel Park and lived in Waynesburg, Greene County. After telling his boss he was going to get cigarettes, he planned to visit a bar in Pittsburgh’s west end and was last seen walking near Patriaglia’s Junkyard.

Investigators found all of his personal effects left on the riverboat — clothes, money, television and his cigarettes — a detail his estranged wife said was out of character because he was a heavy smoker. He was also reported to be dealing with depression at the time. The family officially reported him missing on January 25, 1995, and the Pennsylvania State Police in Waynesburg continue to list him as an endangered missing person.

Does anyone who lived or worked near the west end of Pittsburgh in December 1994 remember seeing Bobby or his car that day?
