Does anyone else find it intriguing how quiet the neighborhood seemed to be on the morning of Douglas Berry’s murder? I’ve read a few articles and some old news snippets, and it consistently mentions that not a lot of people were out and about except for a couple of witnesses. It makes me wonder if someone had intentionally chosen that timing, knowing it might be less likely for others to intervene or provide more eyewitness accounts. Could someone have known his daily routine and taken advantage of the quieter streets during early hours? It’s just so baffling how this happened right in front of his own home, and yet, nearly 40 years later, there are still no solid leads. It must be incredibly frustrating and painful for his wife and family to not have answers after all these years. Hopefully, with advances in forensic technology and renewed public interest, some piece of new information comes to light. Would love to hear thoughts from anyone more familiar with the area or time period.

Does anyone have more information about the area around Linwood Avenue in 1982? I'm curious about the community dynamics and if there were any known incidents or tensions that could have contributed to Douglas Berry's tragic murder. It's devastating to think about his wife witnessing such a traumatic event. I hope someone out there remembers even the smallest detail that could finally solve this case. It's been too long, and Berry’s family deserves answers and closure. Let’s keep discussing and sharing so that justice can be served.
