I've been thinking a lot about the Neer case lately, especially how isolating it must feel for the family to not have answers after all these years. Can't imagine the pain they go through every day not knowing who did this to Thomas. I just read that during the initial investigation, there weren't any clear signs of forced entry, which seems strange. It makes me wonder if Thomas knew his killer or if it was someone who knew the area well enough to plan this out without drawing attention. Maybe someone was watching or maybe it was someone who had been around before? It’s hard to believe no one out there has noticed something unusual. I hope the renewed attention will bring forward the missing pieces to solve this puzzle. Keeping the Neer family in my thoughts.
I've been reading up on the cold case of Thomas Neer, and something that really sticks out to me is the location of the crime. It seems so eerie that this tragic event happened right in his own garage, a place that's typically considered safe. I can't even begin to imagine the pain his family has endured all these years without answers.
It makes you wonder about the movements around the neighborhood that day. Were there any unfamiliar vehicles or visitors in the area? We know how close-knit some communities can be; maybe someone noticed something odd and just hasn't connected it to the crime.
It's easy to think that after so long, details might seem irrelevant, but they can still make a world of difference, especially to investigators relying on fresh insights. I sincerely hope someone remembers even the tiniest detail—it could really help piece together what truly happened that day and finally bring some peace to those who loved Thomas.
I've been following the cold case of Thomas Neer from 1984, and something that really stands out to me is how his case emphasizes the importance of community involvement in solving these tragedies. It’s so hard to imagine the pain his family has endured, waiting all these years without answers.
Despite the time that's passed, every detail, no matter how small, could be significant. I wonder if there are still people out there who might know something or remember an odd detail from that time on Lilley Avenue. Sometimes people don't even realize they hold a piece of the puzzle.
If anyone here is from the Columbus area, or if you lived there back in the '80s, please think back to anything unusual you might have witnessed around January 1984. Every bit of information is valuable and might be the one thing that helps investigators bring long-awaited justice for Thomas and peace to his family. If you know anything, no matter how insignificant it may seem, please reach out to the authorities. Let's not let Thomas be forgotten.
