I've been following the Pilar Rodriguez case for some time, and there's a detail that keeps bothering me. I can't stop thinking about how Cooper initially lied about Pilar being picked up by Marco. That story seems so desperate and poorly concocted. I mean, if they were truly trying to cover something up, wouldn't they have come up with a more convincing story? It makes me wonder about the mindset Cooper was in at the time—was she already under Wilson's control or manipulation, or was she just panicking? From everything I’ve read, she eventually came clean about the abuse and Wilson's actions, but it's just haunting to realize how these lies contributed to delaying the search for Pilar. It's infuriating to think about how these desperate deceptions overshadowed precious time that could’ve been used to find her or even get justice sooner. Anyone else have thoughts on this angle?
