I just came across the case of Carole Varnes, and I can’t stop thinking about her involvement with the Volunteer Neighborhood Block Watch. It really highlights how much she cared about her community. It’s hard to imagine someone so dedicated to making her neighborhood safer could become a victim herself. I wonder if her work with the Block Watch turned up any leads or potential suspects that haven’t been closely examined. Did anyone from the community she helped come forward with information? It seems like such a tight-knit group might have insights that could be useful, even all these years later. My heart goes out to her family and friends who have been living without answers for so long.
