I recently came across the unsolved case of Walter Blackshear, and it really got me thinking about the location of the crime. Does anyone know if there were any security cameras or businesses nearby at the time of the shooting? It happened at the rear of 2259 Ontario Street, and I'm curious about the area in 1994. With today’s advancements in surveillance, it’s hard to imagine a murder happening without any footage, but things were different back then. I hope someone in the community can provide more context or has memories from that area during that time. It's tough knowing that families are left with so many unanswered questions for years. I'm hoping some fresh eyes or a shared memory can spark a lead in Walter’s case. His family deserves answers and justice. If you're from Columbus and have any info from that era, even if it seems trivial, please reach out to the authorities. Every bit helps. ?️

Does anyone else find it interesting how certain cases, like Walter Blackshear's, linger unsolved for so long despite ongoing investigations? I was reading about his case, and it struck me how it's been nearly three decades without closure. It's so sad for his family and friends, who haven't been able to find answers all these years. I can only imagine the frustration and pain they must feel, year after year, hoping for some new development. It's great that the Ohio BCI and Columbus PD are working to raise awareness about cold cases like his by listing them on the Attorney General’s website. I hope this increased visibility leads to someone coming forward with any information that can finally bring justice for Walter. Even the smallest detail could be the missing piece of the puzzle! Let’s keep pushing for justice and sharing his story until this mystery is solved.

Has anyone else noticed how Walter Blackshear's case doesn't seem to get as much attention as some other cold cases? It's so unsettling to think that this happened back in '94 and we're still looking for answers. He was only 39—so much life left to live and to be taken so abruptly is just unfathomable. As someone who has lived in Columbus for years, I find it troubling that this happened in our own backyard, on Ontario Street, and remains unsolved. I read that the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Columbus Police Department have been trying to bring more visibility to Walter's case, which gives hope. I really wish someone who knows something would come forward. It may sound cliché, but no piece of information is too small. Maybe a fresh pair of eyes could spot something that was missed back then? I'm holding out hope for his family and friends who, no doubt, are still yearning for justice. Let's keep this case in the spotlight.
