I’ve been looking into the disappearance of Raymond Wallace Perry, and something that caught my attention is how the tracker dogs followed his scent to where Monette Road meets Alger County Highway 58. It’s puzzling because that’s quite a distance from his home, especially for someone with limited mobility. I’m wondering if there was any surveillance in that area or if anyone in the community remembers seeing him or anything unusual around that time. It’s a long shot, but it might provide some additional insights. Is there any chance there were any sightings or video footage that wasn’t looked into back then? I feel like there might be more to explore regarding his movements leading up to Alger County Highway 58. Thoughts?
Hey everyone, I came across Raymond Wallace Perry's case from 2006, and something has been on my mind. It seems like the search dogs lost his scent near Alger County Highway 58, but it's puzzling that they didn't find any signs of him in that area. I know it's a remote and forested region, but could it be possible he hitched a ride unintentionally from that spot? I’m not suggesting foul play, but maybe someone driving by offered him a lift unknowingly, thinking they were helping an elderly man in need? I wonder if there were any witnesses who saw an elderly man near that intersection around the time of his disappearance. Anyone from the area remember hearing anything about this back then? Just a thought I had since it’s baffling how the trail seemed to go cold so abruptly.
Has anyone else been struck by the fact that Perry's scent was tracked eight miles away from his home to the intersection of Monette Road and Highway 58? It seems so far for someone with limited mobility and arthritis to have traveled on foot. I wonder if anyone saw him walking or if there's a possibility he could have gotten a ride from someone. Maybe the scent trail suggests he got confused and wandered further than we might expect, or perhaps someone who saw him didn't realize he was missing. It feels like there might be more to uncover about his movements in that area before he vanished! Also, for those who live locally, has there been any talk of using more advanced tracking technology since then in similar cases?
