I’ve been reading about the Robert Hawthorne case, and I wanted to weigh in on something I've been thinking about. Given that there was no sign of forced entry, it makes me wonder whether he knew his killer. It's painful to think about, but could it have been someone he trusted? The fact that the door was left ajar also seems particularly eerie, almost like whoever did this wanted to make a quick escape. I really feel for Mr. Hawthorne's family and friends who have had to deal with the unknowns for so long. Even the smallest detail could be the one that breaks the case open, so if anyone out there remembers anything, please don’t hesitate to come forward. Keeping Robert’s story alive helps not just his family but also the community of Akron, which deserves closure and justice.
