Robert Hawthorne, a 57-year-old resident of Akron, Ohio, was found dead in his home on February 27, 2000. The incident took place at his residence at 353 Hickory Street in Akron. On the day of his death, the door to Hawthorne’s home was found ajar, and he was discovered fatally shot on the living room floor. The circumstances of his death suggest that someone entered the home without apparent signs of forced entry, though the specifics of any possible motive remain unclear.
