Has anyone else been reading about the haunting case of Laurence "Kailanii" Brannum? I can’t imagine what the family must be going through, not having any closure. The fact that he was swept out while exploring makes me think of how adventurous he sounded, and it just breaks my heart. I've been wondering about the conditions that day. Were there any tides or weather forecasts that could have hinted the family should watch out for more dangerous conditions than usual? I know these accidents are unpredictable, but maybe there could have been some signs. If anyone has more insight into what the weather was like on that April day in 2009, I’d be interested to hear. My thoughts are with Kailanii’s family and I hope they eventually find some peace.
