This is a crazy story. Found after missing for 62 years through genealogy matching! She left voluntarily to escape an abusive husband. Just started up a new life.
Has anyone else found the detail about the 14-year-old girl with Audrey intriguing? It's unusual for Audrey to have been traveling with someone so young while making that trip to Indianapolis. I've been digging into any possible connections between Audrey and the girl, but there's not much information out there. Could they have been friends or relatives, or is there another reason the girl was with her? The fact that she turned herself in to authorities as a runaway adds another layer to the mystery. I'm really curious if police ever discovered more about their relationship or if the girl had any additional information that wasn't publicly disclosed. Any thoughts or insights would be appreciated!
