Does anyone else find it odd that there were no signs of forced entry at Mary Matheny's home? I've been following this case and it's always baffled me how someone could attack her so violently and yet leave without a trace. Mary was well-known and deeply respected in her community, and it's hard to believe that none of her neighbors saw or heard anything unusual.
It makes me wonder if the person responsible could've been someone she knew or trusted enough to open the door for. It's terrifying to think that whoever did this might still be walking around unnoticed, especially knowing Mary’s nature of kindness and openness. I truly hope for the sake of her family and neighbors who are still living with the anxiety of not knowing what happened that someone comes forward with new information soon. No family should have to live with the pain of such a loss without answers. Thoughts and theories?
Has anyone else been struck by how personal this attack seemed? I can't stop thinking about why someone would target Mary in her own garden, a place she adored and where she felt safe. It seems like whoever did this knew her routine and waited for the right moment. It's eerie thinking it could have been someone she knew or even a neighbor. I really hope anyone with even the slightest information comes forward. Mary's community deserves closure and it saddens me that her case still remains unsolved after all these years. Does anyone have updates on whether any new developments have surfaced recently?
