Hey everyone,
Does anyone have more info on the European Health Spa where Joanne Coughlin was last seen? I've been digging into old newspapers, but there's not much about this place online. It might seem like a small detail, but sometimes locations like gyms can be key, given how many people come and go. Plus, the fact that she was there right before her disappearance makes me wonder if there's anyone who might have noticed something odd or saw her interacting with someone. It's tragic how little traction this part of the case seems to get. Any chance someone knows where we could find archives or records from there? Would love to hear anyone's thoughts!
Thanks!
Has anyone looked into the connection between the attempted bank withdrawal and the local drug scene in Joanne's case? It seems odd that the woman posing as Joanne had her bank book and actually tried to make a withdrawal. Robert Shughart and Howard Rodriguez's involvement is super sketchy, especially considering Shughart's criminal background. Could the withdrawal attempt have been part of a larger scheme, possibly robbery-related, with Shughart and Rodriguez trying to clean out her account? It feels like there might be more to this lead that wasn't fully explored. Has the investigation ever revisited this angle in light of any new information or advancements in forensic tech? It's frustrating that so many years later, there's still no clear resolution.
Does anyone else find it strange that Joanne mailed a check for her life insurance premium the very day she went missing? I can't help but wonder if that's just an eerie coincidence or if it plays a bigger role in her disappearance. Considering her car and the settlement money never turned up either, it's like she vanished in the middle of tying up loose ends. Plus, the attempt to withdraw her money not long after – was there someone close enough to know her recent activities, like mailing that premium? Or was it all just opportunistic? I'd be curious to hear if anyone has more insights into life insurance policies back then and if they think it might offer a motive.
