I came across the story of Jose Guadalupe Noriega-Mejia today, and I can't shake the sadness that this little boy, just six years old, had his life cut short in such a terrifying way. I can't even begin to imagine the pain his family must have gone through, losing him and in such a tragic event. What's been nagging at me is how this case is still unsolved after all these years. It makes you wonder about the kind of person who could set such a horrific fire and then just disappear into the shadows. If anyone out there knows something, even the smallest detail, please step forward. Sharing even the tiniest piece of information might be what finally gives Jose’s family, and the families of the other victims, the closure they deserve. It’s haunting to think that someone might be out there carrying this dark secret. My heart goes out to everyone touched by this tragedy, and I really hope that someday soon, there will be answers and accountability for such a senseless act.

Hi everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the September 12, 2004, arson that took little Jose Guadalupe Noriega-Mejia and nine other lives on Lynwood Lane. It's hard not to feel a deep sense of sorrow for the families who've had to live with this pain for nearly two decades. One detail that's been posed to boggle my mind is how the perpetrators managed to pull off such a significant act and disappear seemingly without a trace. With so many people in the building and the panic that must have ensued, how could no one have witnessed something suspicious? The Franklin County Sheriff's Office and others have been involved, but it's distressing that no justice has been served. This case highlights just how important any small piece of information can be. Even a single witness recalling a tiny detail might make a huge difference, so I encourage anyone who remembers anything—even seemingly insignificant—to come forward. These families deserve answers and closure. It's scary to think the arsonist(s) might still be out there. Do any of you local to Columbus or familiar with the case think there might be a chance of renewed public interest sparking new leads? Or perhaps there's information out there that we're not aware of? Let’s keep talking about this to bring needed awareness. Anyone have ideas on how we might help? Stay safe everyone, and let’s hope for justice for all the victims someday. ?

Hi everyone, I wanted to take a moment to talk about the brave neighbors who tried to save lives during the tragic fire on Lynwood Lane. It's often in the worst moments that we see the best in people, and the courage displayed that night is truly admirable. Residents were pounding on doors, screaming for others to wake up and get to safety. It's so important to remember these acts of bravery as we continue to discuss this case. Jose Guadalupe Noriega-Mejia was only six years old, with his whole life ahead of him. It's a devastating reminder of the innocence lost that night. I hope the authorities find those responsible so that justice can be served for Jose and everyone else affected. If anyone has new information, please reach out to the authorities. This family and community deserve answers, and the more eyes we have on this case, the better the chance of getting justice. Thanks for being a community that cares deeply about these cases and the people impacted by them. ❤️ Stay safe, everyone.
