I was just reading about Mary Ann Bagenstose's case, and I can't stop thinking about that mysterious note supposedly left at her home. Has anyone else wondered about the implications of the handwriting analysis? I know it's taken years to gather enough evidence, but what if there were overlooked aspects to Jere's story that could have been caught sooner? It's incredible how forensics and technology have evolved to provide new insights years later. I'm curious if further advancements could eventually lead to finding Mary Ann's remains, even after all this time. Does anyone have more information on how these kinds of cold cases get revisited and what specific technologies might be used now that weren't available back in the '80s?
Hi everyone,
I’ve been following Mary Ann Bagenstose's case for a while, and something that's been on my mind is Jere's unexcused absence from work the day she disappeared. It seems like such a critical detail, yet it doesn't seem to have been given as much attention over the years. If Jere had planned to help Mary Ann trade in her car, wouldn’t he have mentioned taking time off to do that instead of it being an unexplained absence? I wonder if anyone has looked into his work records to see if he took any other days off around that time, perhaps to cover something up. I feel like it might provide some additional context about his actions and state of mind at the time. Has anyone else thought this was an overlooked piece of the puzzle? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
I find the timing of this case really intriguing. Mary Ann vanished just days before that critical custody hearing. It seems like such a pivotal moment considering she had recently been granted custody of their child. Was it ever discussed whether she had any concerns leading up to the hearing? Like, did she feel threatened or was she worried about something specific? Perhaps those close to Mary Ann have shared insights or recollections about her state of mind during those final days? It's also curious that Jere was helping her with the car; I wonder what more details could be uncovered around this. Thoughts?
