Hey everyone,
I’ve been following the Alicia Padilla case from 1985, and something has been puzzling me for a while. While it has been presumed that Felipe might've taken Alicia to Honduras, has anyone ever discussed or come across any specific ties he might have had to that region? Are there any records or connections Felipe had that could give more credibility to this theory? I feel like this angle might hold some untapped potential, yet it seems like we don’t hear much about it. Perhaps someone with knowledge about Felipe’s past might have insights that could be valuable, even after all these years. Any thoughts or additional info floating around on this? ?
Seeing as this case dates back to 1985, I wonder if the international aspect might have hampered the search efforts for Alicia. Back then, I imagine coordinating searches across borders was a logistical nightmare, especially without today’s technology and communication systems. There's a pretty significant Honduran community in Miami even now, so I would think someone might have seen Felipe or heard something over the years. It breaks my heart that the trail seems so cold. It's a real stretch, but could there be records or photos from that era in Honduras that haven't been looked into yet? Does anyone here have experience with international custody disputes or cases where kids were taken overseas? Curious if there are newer strategies that could help crack cases like this one, even after all these years.
