Does anyone have any thoughts on why Thomas John Gordinier's disappearance didn't get more media coverage back in 1987? It's puzzling considering how unusual the circumstances were. He literally vanished without a trace, leaving all his personal belongings behind, and still, there seems to have been limited public attention on his case. Could it have been overshadowed by other events at the time, or was there just not enough evidence to keep the media interested? It's just strange because nowadays we'd assume a scenario like this would get quite a bit of media attention to help with the investigation. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts or if anyone recalls other similar cases from that era that didn't get much coverage either.

Hey everyone, I've been digging into the Thomas John Gordinier case from 1987, and something that's been on my mind is the significance of the tool that the neighbor was supposed to pick up the day after Thomas was last seen. It's a minor detail, but it's bugging me. Did the type of tool ever come up in the investigation or in any public records? Having worked as an electrical contractor, Thomas likely had some specialized equipment. Is it possible there was something about that tool or the timing of the neighbor's arrival that could offer a clue? Or could it have been just an unfortunate coincidence that they tried to visit the day after? Maybe it's nothing, but it seems unusual that in a case with so few leads, even the smallest detail might hold some weight. Would love to hear if anyone has come across information relating to this or if there are any theories out there. Let's keep looking out for any updates or new insights that might bring some answers to his family and friends.
